S V Bricks

We have been at 766 Nagapattinam Highway for a good while now. It is a dusty spot in Thulasenthira Puram but we like it here. S V Bricks is just us making bricks day in and day out. It is hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on the yard. Most days start pretty early before the traffic on the highway gets too loud. We just focus on getting the mix right and making sure the kiln is running okay. People usually just drop by because they saw the sign or they live nearby. There is not much fancy about what we do. It is just red mud and water and fire. Sometimes the batches come out a little different depending on the soil we get that week, but that is just how it goes with this kind of work. We keep the stacks organized out front so it is easy for the trucks to load up. My cousin helps with the counting and I handle the rest. We do not have a big office or anything, just a small desk and some chairs. If you are driving down the highway, you will see us right there. It is a simple life. We make enough to keep things moving. The neighbors know us, and we know them. It feels good to see a house going up in the village and knowing some of those bricks came from our yard here. That is about it.
