Shiv Marble

Shiv Marble is located over on Bassi Road, not too far from Sohan Farms. We are right in the middle of a few landmarks like the Aam Khas Bagh and that big microwave tower which everyone uses to find their way around here. The tower is actually quite helpful because people just look up and know they are close to the shop. Our daily life involves a lot of lifting and shifting. We get slabs of marble in and we have to be very careful how we stack them near the entrance. The ground can be a bit uneven around here so we spend time making sure everything is level. Being near Aam Khas Bagh means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes but mostly it is just hard work under the sun. We are not a corporate setup, just a regular local business where we know most of the people who walk in. Some are contractors we have known for years and others are just families trying to fix up a small kitchen or a bathroom. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing stuff because the work speaks for itself. The stones are heavy and the days are long, especially when we have a big delivery coming in. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing near the farms and the old gardens.
