Our spot is over in Sector-B of the Sirgitti Industrial Area. We are at Plot No. 71-D and 71-F here in Bilaspur. If you come by, you’ll see the heavy machines parked out front. It’s a dusty place, but that’s just how it is with earthmovers. We spend most of our time maintaining the equipment or sending it out to sites. Devshi Earthmovers started out small and we’ve just stayed focused on the machines. The guys in the shop are usually covered in grease. We don’t have a receptionist in a suit. You just walk in and find whoever is available in the back. Bilaspur is a tough place for machinery because of the heat and the terrain. We spend a lot of time on repairs and maintenance. Sometimes parts take a while to arrive, which can be frustrating for everyone. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can. The industrial area is loud and busy, which suits us fine. We have a lot of regular talk with the other shop owners nearby. We don’t spend money on shiny brochures or marketing. We’d rather spend it on better tools for the garage. It’s a straightforward life here. We show up, check the engines, and handle the paperwork. It’s what we know how to do. Some days are slow, some are chaotic, but we stay until the work is done.
