Saleem Saw Mill

Saleem Saw Mill is located right near the Grampanchathi in Thangallapally. We are at Sy. No. 51 in the Sircilla area. If you come near our place, you’ll probably smell the fresh-cut wood before you even see the sign. Sawdust is just a part of life for us; it gets on everything, including our clothes and the floors. We spend the day taking big logs and cutting them down into whatever sizes are needed by the people around here. It’s loud work because of the saws, and you have to be very careful with your hands. We don't have a showroom with polished furniture. It’s just a mill with stacks of timber and a lot of machinery. Thangallapally is a nice community, and being near the Grampanchathi means we see a lot of people passing by our gate. We’ve been here long enough that most of the locals know the sound of our blades starting up in the morning. We don't spend money on marketing or fancy signs. People usually find us because they need some wood cut and they know we are here. The work is physical and you go home tired every day, but it’s good to work with your hands. We just take the wood as it comes in and try to make the best use of every piece we get. It’s simple, honest work, and we don't try to make it sound like anything else but that.
