My place is at 7-1-139 in Subhashnagar, Sircilla. If you know Sircilla, you know it’s a town that’s always moving. We are tucked away in Subhashnagar, and the shop is where I spend the bulk of my time. It’s a modest space. I have an old wooden desk and a couple of chairs for whoever stops by. The walls have a few calendars on them, and there are stacks of registers from previous years piled up in the corner. I don’t see the point in having a modern, sleek office when this works just fine for what I do. People around here know me, and I know them. We talk about the weather and the local news as much as we talk about business. It’s a slow and steady kind of work. I don’t have a website or a big social media presence. Most people find me just by knowing the address or hearing about me from a neighbor. Sometimes the street gets noisy with the traffic and the local markets, but inside it stays relatively calm. I handle the daily tasks myself, from answering the phone to keeping the books. It’s not a big operation, just a small local business trying to stay steady in a busy town. The work gets done without much fuss, and that is how I prefer to keep things.
