R K Manthri Textiles Sircilla

Our place, R K Manthri Textiles, is right in B Y Nagar over in Sircilla. If you know this area, you know it’s all about the looms and the thread. We’ve got our setup at 10 7 13/1 and it’s usually humming with activity. Sircilla is famous for textiles, so we are just one part of that big history. We don’t have a big office or a showroom. It’s mostly storage and the area where we handle the goods. Sometimes the dust from the fabric gets everywhere, but you get used to it after a while. We deal with a lot of different types of cloth every day. My family has been involved in this for a while now. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, just trying to stay steady. The neighbors are mostly doing the same thing as us, so it’s a tight community where everyone knows each other. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers or checking on the transport trucks. The weather affects how the yarn behaves sometimes, which is a bit of a headache during the rainy season. We try to keep things organized but when a big shipment arrives, it can get a bit messy for a few days. We just push the stacks around to make a path. It’s a simple life focused on the weaving and the selling. We close up when the sun goes down and start over the next day.
