Lakavath Santhosh

I stay and work out of my house, which is H No 9-44-6 in Jalapathi Thanda. It’s part of the Sanugula Chandurthy area in Rajanna. Living out here is peaceful, though it can be a bit of a trek if you’re coming from the main town. My work involves a bit of everything that needs doing around here. I don't have a big staff or a fancy office; it’s just me and sometimes a couple of friends helping out when the load gets heavy. We deal with local needs, whether it's helping with supplies or just getting things from one place to another. The roads can be dusty, and during the rains, they get quite muddy, but that’s just how it is in the thanda. I’ve lived here my whole life, so I know every corner and every family. People know where to find me if they need something. I don't spend money on advertising because word of mouth is enough in a place like this. My day starts with the sun, and I usually finish up whenever the work is done. It’s not about getting rich; it’s about making a living and being part of the community. I keep my tools and my bike in good shape because they are what I rely on every single day. It’s a simple existence, and I don’t really want it any other way. We just take the seasons as they come and do what’s necessary to get through.
