Sai Ram Rice Industries

We spend most of our time here at Plot No. 11 in the Kiadb Industrial Area. It’s a pretty busy spot. The machines usually run from early morning until late evening. There is a lot of dust from the rice husks and it gets quite loud, but that’s just how it is in this business. We deal with farmers and trucks coming in and out all day long. Some days are slower, like when the rain hits, but mostly we are just moving bags around and making sure the grain is dry. It’s a plain building, nothing fancy to look at. We’ve been here for a while now and the neighbors in the industrial layout know us well. Usually, you’ll find one of us near the weighing scale or checking the quality of the paddy that just arrived. We don't really have a big office, just a small desk where we keep the books and drink tea when there's a break. The staff lives nearby, so we all walk or cycle to work. It is hard work, especially in the summer heat, but it keeps us going. We try to keep things organized, even if the floor is always covered in rice powder. It's just a regular place doing regular work. Sometimes people stop by just to ask about prices or to see if we have enough stock for the month. We just handle things as they come.
