We are located at plot 48 inside the Sipcot Industrial Complex. If you know the area, you know it’s mostly just big buildings and lots of trucks moving around all the time. Working with leather is what we do here at Nag Leather. It’s a lot of manual labor and it can get pretty hot inside the unit during the summer months. The Sipcot area is usually busy from early morning until late at night. We have a set of machines that have been running for years. They make a lot of noise, but it’s a sound we like because it means we are getting things finished. The smell of the hides is something you just get used to after a week or two on the job. We have a small group of workers who have been with us since the start. Most of us take our lunch breaks together under the shade of the trees outside if there is a breeze. We aren't trying to do anything crazy, just making sure the quality is what it should be. The floors are always a bit messy with scraps, but we clean up before heading out for the day. It’s a solid place to work. No one wears a suit here. We just put on our boots and get to it. Sometimes the trucks are late and we have to wait around, but that is just part of being in an industrial zone like this one.
