Out here in Belonia, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar College is a big part of the community here in Tripura. You can find us right in the heart of town at 799155. It’s where most of the local kids end up after they finish school. The college has been standing for a long time, and you can see it in the way the buildings look. We have trees on the campus and plenty of space where students sit and talk between their lectures. It’s not a flashy place. We have basic classrooms and old desks, but it works for what we need. The teachers live nearby and know most of the families in the area. It feels more like a big family than a formal institution sometimes. We get a lot of rain in this part of Tripura, so the campus stays green, though the paths can get a bit muddy. We don't spend much time on fancy advertisements or social media. Most people know us just by walking past or because their older siblings came here. We try to keep the library stocked as much as we can with the books they need. Every morning, the gates open and the town sort of wakes up with the students arriving. It’s a simple life, teaching and learning day after day. We just want to make sure the young people in Belonia have a place to go to get their degrees.
