New Vijay Motor Body Makers is out here on the Nashik Pune Road in Sinnar. You can find us in the Gahwatha area. It is a noisy place because we are always working on truck bodies. There is a lot of welding and hammering going on from morning until evening. The shop is big and open to let the air in, but it still gets very hot during the summer months. We have grease on our clothes most days. That is just part of the job when you are building motor bodies. We don't have a proper office with air conditioning. Usually, we just sit on a wooden bench under the shade of the roof. The highway traffic passes by constantly, so there is always a layer of dust on everything. We have been doing this for many years now. Most of our workers have been with us since the start. We don't use any high-tech machines, mostly just our hands and some old-school tools. Sometimes the rain gets inside if the wind is blowing hard. We just move the metal pieces further back and keep going. People from all over the district come to us because they know where we are. We don't do any marketing. Our work speaks for itself I guess. It’s a hard life but it’s what we know. Anyway, that is pretty much us. We just keep going every single day.
