If you walk down toward the Nalikul Station Bazar in Hooghly, you will find us pretty easily. We have been here for a long time, selling all sorts of building materials to people in the area. The station market is always crowded, especially in the mornings when the trains come in, so it gets quite noisy outside our door. We mostly spend our days talking to local builders and guys fixing up their houses. There is always sand or cement dust on the floor no matter how much we sweep. It is just the way it is when you run a shop like this. We don’t have a big website or a social media person. Usually, someone just walks in and asks for what they need, and we see if we have it in the back. Sometimes the weather makes things hard, like when the rain hits the bazar and we have to cover everything up fast. We know most of the people who come in by their first names because they live right around here. It is a simple way of doing business, honestly. We don’t bother with fancy displays or anything. We just keep the bricks and the rods ready for whenever a customer shows up with a truck or a cart. It's a busy life here in Dist Hooghly, but we like being right in the heart of the market where everyone gathers together every day for their work and supplies to keep the local area growing.
