Vikash Enterprises

Our place is located in Varan, right near the Ahuja Petrol Pump on City Road. It’s a good spot because everyone knows the petrol pump. Vikash Enterprises is what we call the business, but mostly people just say they are going to Vikash's shop. We deal with a variety of things depending on what people are asking for lately. The building is older and has seen better days, but it stays dry when it rains. We have some storage space in the back and a small area in the front where we talk to visitors. It’s not very organized, to be honest. There are stacks of papers and some samples lying around on the tables. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day and talk to the drivers who stop by. City Road is always moving with cars and trucks, so there is never really a quiet moment. We started small and just stayed that way. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the routine. If you walk in, you might have to wait a minute if we are in the back looking for something. We try to be helpful but we aren't miracle workers. It’s just a regular local business trying to make a living in Varan. We’ve been here long enough that the walls feel familiar and we know the neighbors well.
