We are based out in Waidhan, which is over in the Singrauli district. This area is known for all the mining, and that is exactly where we spend most of our time. Our daily life involves a lot of dirt, dust, and heavy equipment. We aren't the type of people who work in an office with air conditioning. Instead, we are usually out on the sites in our boots and high-vis gear. We handle the various tasks that keep the mining operations moving along. It’s a tough environment, especially when the summer heat hits and the sun is beating down on the metal. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we are used to the conditions. We don't have any fancy talk about our values or our vision. We just have a list of things that need to be done and we go do them. It’s a lot of physical labor and making sure the machines are properly maintained so they don't break down in the middle of a shift. Singrauli is a busy place for this industry, and we are just one small part of it. We know most of the other crews working the pits. We keep things straightforward and try to stay out of trouble. It’s a hard way to earn a paycheck, but it’s what we know how to do. Some days the dust is everywhere, but we just wash up.
