S.S.P.M.'s College Of Engineering

We are located in a place called Harkul Budruk, which is out in the Kankavali taluka of the Sindhudurg district. It is a much slower pace of life here compared to what you find in the big cities. S.S.P.M.'s College Of Engineering sits in an area that is surrounded by a lot of trees and greenery. Sometimes you can hear the birds more clearly than you can hear the cars or trucks passing by. Being in a more rural setting means we have a very close-knit group of people here. Most of the staff and the students know each other by their first names. The campus isn't filled with high-tech gadgets at every single corner, but we definitely have everything that is necessary for learning engineering properly. We deal with the usual issues of being away from a major city, like transport schedules or getting specific supplies delivered to us on time. It probably makes us a bit more resourceful than others. Life here is quite simple. We open up the gates early in the morning, and the rest of the day is filled with lectures and workshop sessions. In the evenings, the whole place quiets down quite a bit. It is a peaceful environment to study in if you don't mind the silence. We do not have any big shopping malls nearby, so the college is the center of social life for the students. We have been doing this for a long time now and it is just our way of life.
