Rane Ice Cream Distribution Llp is based out of Malvan, right on the Bhandari Highschool Road. Our address is H. No. 1804D2 in Somwar Peth. If you know Malvan, you know it gets very hot and humid, so having ice cream around is always a good thing. We spend most of our time managing the big freezers and making sure the electricity does not go out. That is the biggest worry in this business. When the power fluctuates, we all get a bit nervous. The road outside is usually busy with students from the high school nearby, and sometimes they pop in to see what we have. We are mostly distributors, so we have these small refrigerated vans that go out to the villages around Sindhudurg. My clothes always smell like the cold storage room, and my hands are usually freezing from moving the crates around. It is a simple operation. We take the stock in from the bigger manufacturers and get it to the small shops that do not have their own big storage. Somwar Peth is a good spot for us because it is central. We have a small desk where we track the deliveries, but mostly we are out back near the cooling units. It is a lot of lifting and moving boxes, and sometimes the vans break down on the narrow roads, but we get the ice cream delivered one way or another before it melts.
