You can find us at Janav village, which is part of the Kankavali taluka in the Sindhudurg district. Specifically, we are at Dongrewadi, and the office is set up with Rajani Tukaram Sawant. It’s a local place through and through. Being out here in the Konkan region means things move at a bit of a different pace than the big cities. We are Gopuri Dairy & Dairy Products Beverages and we focus on what we know best, which is milk and drinks. The surroundings are quite green, especially during the monsoon, but it makes the roads a bit tricky for the delivery vans. We’ve been operating out of this spot for some time. It’s more of a community feel here in Janav. Everyone knows what we are doing and we know most of the people who bring us their produce. We spend our mornings dealing with the fresh arrivals and the afternoons are usually for the paperwork and the beverage side of the business. It’s not a polished operation with uniforms and fancy signs. It’s just us working in Dongrewadi, trying to keep the dairy running properly. There’s a lot of manual work involved, and sometimes things break down, but we fix them and keep moving. It’s a simple way to run a business, staying close to the source and keeping things practical. We like it this way, even if it’s a bit quiet out here in Sindhudurg.
