We are located down in Shirgaon, which is a small place in the Deogad area of Sindhudurg. It is quite a change from the big city offices in Mumbai or Pune. Being out here in this part of Maharashtra means we deal with a lot of different conditions, especially during the heavy monsoon season when the rain just doesn't stop for days. Our office is just a simple building where we manage the local work for the district. It is pretty quiet most of the time, and you can usually hear the birds or the wind rather than traffic. We have a small team here. Most of us grew up around this region or have lived here long enough to know the local roads and the people in the taluka. We spend our days tracking materials and making sure the local labor is sorted out for the current jobs. There is a lot of open space around us, which makes the workday feel a bit less stressful. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow or the power goes out in the afternoon, but we just deal with it and keep working. We are not trying to be anything we are not. This is just where we work and stay while we handle the projects in this part of Sindhudurg. It is a lot of driving back and forth between the site and the office in Shirgaon, but we are used to the routine by now.
