Anandibai Raorane Arts, Commerce And Science College

Our college is situated in Vaibhavwadi, which is deep in the Sindhudurg district. It is quite a journey for some of our students who live in the smaller villages nearby, but they usually make it in on the local buses. We offer arts, commerce, and science, so the building is a mix of all sorts of people. You might see someone carrying a lab kit in one hallway and someone else with a stack of accountancy books in the next. The campus is fairly quiet and surrounded by the green hills of Maharashtra, which is nice. We have a simple office where we keep all the records in large metal cabinets. It is not a modern, high-tech facility, just a regular place where teachers give lectures and students take notes. When the monsoon hits, the rain is really heavy here, so we have to be careful about keeping the library dry. The staff room is just a plain space where we sit and have tea and talk about the local news or the college schedule. We don't use any fancy corporate language or have big slogans on the walls. It is an honest place of learning for the local kids who want to get their degrees without leaving the district. Everyone in Vaibhavwadi just knows us as the local college. We keep our heads down and focus on the daily work of running the place for the students.
