Acc Limited

We are located at the Sindri Cement Works, which is part of the Acc Colony in Dhanbad. If you’ve ever been to a cement works, you know what the vibe is like. It’s a massive place with big chimneys and a constant hum of machinery in the background. Living and working in the colony means your life is pretty much tied to the plant. Most of us have been here for years, and we see the same faces every single day at the gate. The work is heavy and it can be quite dirty, but it’s what keeps the town going. Our office is inside the works, and it’s usually covered in a fine layer of gray dust no matter how much we clean. We deal with the production side of things, keeping track of the kilns and the bagging units. There’s a lot of walking involved because the site is so spread out. We eat our meals at the company mess and talk about the latest plant updates or how our families are doing. It’s a very practical kind of existence. There’s no room for fancy talk here; you just do your job and make sure everything stays safe. The colony has everything we need, so we don’t often head into the main part of Dhanbad unless it’s for something special. It’s an industrial community, and while it’s not always easy, there’s a sense of belonging in this corner of the cement works.
