You’ll find the University Press at SS Prashant Residency, Flat 301. The door number is 8 3 677 27 in Yellareddyguda, Hyderabad. We’re up on the third floor of the building. This is where we handle a lot of the publishing and printing coordination for the university. It’s an apartment building, so it’s not your typical industrial press house with giant machines. We have computers, some proofing prints lying around, and shelves full of books we’ve worked on over the years. The space is a bit tight with all the stacks of paper, but we manage to stay organized enough to get the work done. Most of us have been in publishing for years, so we just get on with it without much fuss. It’s a quiet area for the most part, which helps when we need to concentrate on editing or checking layouts. We don't have a big storefront or a sign. Usually, people contact us through the university channels, but we do have the occasional visitor coming by for a meeting. The residency is easy to find if you know the Yellareddyguda neighborhood. We usually have a pot of tea going and some biscuits in the afternoon. It’s an honest day’s work here. We don't use big words to describe what we do; we just make sure the books and journals get out on time. It’s a steady, reliable little office where we focus on the work.
