Sterlite Technologies

It is pretty quiet out here on Madhuban Dam Road most mornings until the trucks start rolling in at Survey No. 99. We have been at this spot for a while now, right where the road curves. Sterlite Technologies isn't a fancy place with glass walls, it is just where we come to work every day. Usually, the heat gets a bit much by noon, so we keep the fans going full blast. You can hear the hum of the equipment from the gate. Sometimes the power flickers, but we just get back to it once it's on. People usually find us by looking for the big turnoff near the dam. It isn’t much to look at from the outside, just a lot of activity and people moving stuff around. We spend most of the day dealing with cables and technical things that most people don't think about twice. The tea stall down the road is where most of us end up during the break. It’s a lot of work, keeping things running smoothly, and sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk more than I’d like. But that is how it goes here. We just try to get the orders sorted and out the door before the sun goes down. Most of the guys have been here for years, so we all know the routine pretty well by now. We don't do much in the way of talking, just keeping our heads down and getting through the shifts one by one.
