Shital Textiles

Running Shital Textiles out here at Plot No. 16 in the Government Industrial Estate in Masat Silvassa is a lot of work, mostly because the heat can get quite intense in the afternoons. The industrial estate is always full of noise—trucks backing up, machines humming, and people shouting over the din. Our space is basically just a big hall filled with rolls of fabric and a couple of old fans that don’t do nearly enough. We spend the day moving stock around and making sure the machines are running smooth. Masat is a busy hub, so there’s always something happening right outside the doors. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. Usually, if someone comes by, they just find us on the floor working. It’s a bit chaotic with all the different colors and textures piled up, but we have our own system that works. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out, and we just order some food and keep at it. Silvassa is a good place for industry, but it sure is dusty. My hands are usually covered in thread bits by five o’clock. We just focus on getting through the daily list and making sure the quality is what it should be. There isn't much more to it than that, just regular people doing regular work day after day.
