Mahavir Plastics

The place is down at Plot 14 in the Daman Ganga Industrial area. We've been here a while now. Most days it's just the sound of the machines running and the guys moving stuff around on the floor. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially during the summer months, but that's just how it is working with plastics. We started out small and just kept adding a few more things as the years went by. You can find us right near Survey No. 46/1/p. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a lot of hard work and making sure the orders go out when they are supposed to. Sometimes things get a bit messy when we are busy, but we manage. People know where we are if they need to drop by. We spend a lot of time checking on the quality of the batches because if one thing goes wrong, the whole day is a waste. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the dials. We don't really do much advertising or anything. Most people who work here live nearby. It’s a steady kind of life. We just focus on getting the plastic pieces right and keeping the equipment from breaking down. It’s a lot of grease and loud noises, but it pays the bills. If you walk through the gates, you’ll probably see me or one of the supervisors trying to fix something or talking to the truck drivers who come in and out all day.
