Eskay Knit India Ltd.

Down in Piparia, things are always moving, especially here at Dhanu Udyog Industrial Area. We are Eskay Knit India Ltd. and we have been in this spot for quite some time now. The machines make a lot of noise, so you have to talk a bit louder when you are standing on the floor. It is mostly about the yarn and the knitting patterns we run through the cycles every day. Some days are smoother than others. We might have a machine jam up or the power fluctuates, which is just how things go in an industrial zone. We have a small crew and everyone knows their job well enough that I don't have to say much. We just get the rolls of fabric ready and move them out to the loading area. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have some big fans that help a little bit. There is no air conditioning in the main work shed, just hard work and the smell of oil from the gears. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in India, we just want to make sure the quality is decent before the trucks arrive. If you walk past the gates, you’ll see the stacks of crates waiting to be picked up. It is a regular life here, nothing like what you see in the movies. Just people working with thread and steel. We just hope the machines keep running without too much trouble.
