Down here at Yellow Tapes on Canal Road, things are usually moving pretty fast. We’re tucked away right behind Prince Pipe in Dadra at S, No. 245/21/1. It’s an industrial sort of area, so there’s always noise from the neighboring plants. We spend a lot of time around the rolls of tape, making sure everything is stacked up right. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but we try to keep it clean enough. It’s not a big team, just a few of us making sure the orders go out when they should. The building itself is simple, just a warehouse and a small space for the desk work. I usually have my lunch sitting near the back door where you can see the canal. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you don’t know the shortcut behind the pipe factory. Most of our days are spent checking inventory and making sure the machines are running okay. Sometimes a machine jams and we have to spend an hour fixing it, which throws the whole afternoon off. We don’t have fancy brochures or a front desk with a receptionist. If someone shows up, one of us just wipes our hands and goes to see what they need. It’s just a regular workplace doing what needs to be done to keep the business going through the week. It isn't perfect, but it works for us.
