We are based at 8, Vikas Complex, right in the Tokarkhada area. Balaji Cement Ind. has been in this complex for a good number of years now. It’s a busy little hub where a lot of different businesses are located. Our unit at number 8 is usually the one with a bit of cement dust near the entrance. We spend our days dealing with bags of cement and making sure everything is tracked properly in our books. It’s heavy work, and the guys are always moving back and forth between the storage and the trucks parked outside. We don't have a reception area with a sofa or anything like that. Most people just talk to us at the main desk or right out in the loading area while the bags are being moved. Tokarkhada can get pretty hot in the summer, so we have a couple of old fans going that make a lot of noise but don't do much for the heat. We don't really mind the clutter of the office; it just shows that we are actually doing something. We aren't interested in sounding like a big multinational company with polished floors. We are just a local industry doing our job and serving the people around here who are building stuff. If you come by Vikas Complex, just look for the cement bags and you will find us easily enough. We are usually here until the last truck leaves.
