Auto-Tuf Safety Glass is situated on Plot No 57, specifically units 3A and 3B, along the Dunetha Bhenslore Road. It’s a bit out of the way, which gives us the space we need for the heavy stuff we do. Dealing with glass means you need a lot of room and a steady hand. The workshop is mostly taken up by large tables and racks for storage. It’s not a quiet place. There is always the sound of cutting or the hum of the cooling fans. We’ve been at this location for a while now. The road outside can get a bit rough during the monsoon season, which makes deliveries a bit of a challenge sometimes. We’re a small crew. Most of the guys have been here since the start. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and displays. If you want to see what we do, you just come into the back where the work is happening. We use a lot of protective gear because safety is something we have to pay attention to every minute. Our office is just a small desk with a computer and a lot of logbooks. We don't spend much time there anyway. We’d rather be on the floor making sure everything is moving along correctly. It’s a tough job sometimes, especially when it’s hot, but we like the finished product. It’s honest work that we understand well. We just try to keep our heads down and finish the orders that come through the door. That keeps us busy.
