Mohan Bistha & Co. is situated at Hitashi Lodge. We are right by the New Darjeeling More, very close to the Shibam Mandir. If you are driving on NH-55, you can't really miss the temple. It’s a major landmark for everyone in this area. The highway is always humming with the sound of trucks and cars moving between towns. It’s a busy spot to have an office, but it keeps us connected to everything. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. The lodge is an older building, and it has a lot of character, even if it’s not the most modern place. We have a simple setup inside. There are desks and some chairs for when people stop by. We don't spend much on decorations. The view outside is mostly the road and the people visiting the temple. The weather can be a bit unpredictable here, with heavy rains at times that make the NH-55 a bit of a challenge. We just take it as it comes. Our staff is mostly local people who know the Darjeeling More area like the back of their hands. We don't have any grand statements to make. We just show up every day and do what needs to be done. It’s a straightforward way of living and working. If the power goes out, we wait for it to come back. If the road is blocked, we wait for it to clear. That’s just life at the lodge.
