Subham Solar Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is on the first floor of the Paul Building, which is No. 83 on Bidhan Road. It’s an old building, but it serves us well. Being on the first floor is better than the top because we have to carry things up and down sometimes, and the stairs are enough of a workout as it is. Bidhan Road is always moving, so there is plenty to see out the window. We spend our days figuring out solar layouts for various projects. It involves a lot of measuring and double-checking numbers. It’s not always exciting, but it’s what we do. The office is usually a bit cluttered with blueprints and solar component samples. We try to keep it organized, but when things get busy, that’s the first thing to go. There’s a tea shop nearby that we visit way too often. Most of us have been working here long enough that we know all the other shop owners in the building. We don’t have a flashy reception desk or anything like that. You just walk in and someone will be there at a desk, probably on a call or looking at a computer screen. We like the location because it’s central. Getting parts delivered is easy enough since most couriers know where Paul Building is. It’s a honest living and we just keep at it day after day, through the heat and the rain. It’s a bit cramped inside, but it works for us.
