Globe Hikers Adventure Tour Travels is over in South Babu Wara. We aren't your typical travel agency that sends people to big resorts. We are more into the rough stuff, like hiking and climbing. The office is basically just a room filled with backpacks, ropes, and old boots that have seen better days. We started this because we were always out in the hills anyway. South Babu Wara is where we keep our base. If you come by, you might find us cleaning gear or looking at topographical maps on the floor. It’s not a very polished place. There’s usually some trail mix on the table and a pot of tea going. We talk to people about where they want to go and what they can actually handle. We don't want to send someone on a trek that’s too hard for them. Sometimes we have to tell people a trip isn't possible because the weather is turning bad or a road is washed out. It’s just how it goes with adventure travel. We don't have a big fancy website with music playing. Most of our work is done through word of mouth and people seeing us around. We’ve spent many years learning the paths, so we know what we’re talking about. It’s a bit of a messy business with all the mud and logistics, but we enjoy it more than sitting in a corporate office.
