We are Sky Star Shopping and we sit near the Nil Nalini School in the Ashrampara area of Siliguri. The pincode here is 734401. It is a pretty active spot because of the school nearby. You can hear the kids playing during recess and the bells ringing. Our shop has a lot of different things on the shelves. It is not a giant supermarket, but we try to keep the basics that people in the neighborhood need. We have been here for a bit and we know most of the faces that walk through the door. The building is a bit older and has some cracks in the plaster, but it stays dry when it rains. We have some plastic chairs out front where people sometimes sit and chat. Inside, it is a bit of a maze with all the boxes and displays. We spend a lot of time stocking the shelves and checking the inventory. Siliguri is a gateway to the hills, so we get a mix of local people and travelers passing through. The weather can get quite damp, so we have to watch out for the stock. We don't have any fancy uniforms or anything like that. We just wear our regular clothes and help people find what they are looking for. It is a straightforward business and we like being part of the Ashrampara neighborhood.
