Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital

This is the Siliguri Greater Lions Eye Hospital. We are situated on 2nd Mile Sevoke Road. If you know where Vishal Cinema Hall is, we are right behind it. It’s a bit tucked away from the main road noise. We spend most of our time looking at eyes. People come here for glasses or because their vision isn't what it used to be. The hospital is run by the Lions group here in Siliguri. We have a lot of rooms for testing and some beds for when people need to stay over after a surgery. It's not a luxury place, just a regular hospital setup. The waiting area can get quite full in the afternoons. We see a lot of older folks from the tea gardens and the city too. Sometimes the power goes out, but we have generators to keep things moving. The staff speaks the local languages, so it’s easy to talk to patients. We’ve been at this Sevoke Road location for a long time. People usually find us by looking for the cinema hall first. It’s a landmark everyone knows. We don’t have much in the way of decoration on the walls. It’s just white paint and charts. We try to get through the appointments as fast as we can. It’s just a busy local eye center. Nothing more to it. We keep the doors open six days a week and usually have someone around even on Sundays for emergencies. It’s just how we do things here in Siliguri. Most folks know us by word of mouth.
