Varni Builders is located at 4/2 Akshyatara Apartment, right at the 2nd Mile on Sevoke Road in Siliguri. Being in West Bengal, we get our fair share of rain, which usually complicates our schedule, but we’ve learned to work around it over the years. Our office isn't in a big glass skyscraper; it's tucked into the apartment building, which makes it feel a bit more like home than a corporate space. We usually have blueprints spread out over the main table and there is always a pot of tea going somewhere. Building things in Siliguri means dealing with a lot of different terrain and weather, so we spend a lot of time out at sites checking on progress. We aren't the type to sit behind a desk all day. We’d rather be out seeing the concrete being poured or the brickwork going up. Most of us have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get the job done. We just show up, look at what needs doing, and get to it. It’s a lot of coordination between suppliers and workers, which can get stressful when a truck is late or the weather turns bad. We just take it one day at a time. People in the neighborhood know where to find us if they have questions about a project. We keep our doors open and just do the work.
