My place is tucked away on Najrul Sarani, on the first floor. If you know where Pakurtola More is, you’re basically there. We’re right behind New Ramakrishna Seva Sadan. It’s a bit of a quiet corner in Hakimpara compared to the main roads of Siliguri. I've been operating out of this room for some time now. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, but they do the job. I usually get in early and open up the shutters. It’s mostly just me here, looking after things. The building is older, but it has character. I like being in this part of town because it feels more like a community. People know each other around here. Sometimes I hear the sounds from the hospital nearby, but mostly it's just the usual street noise. I haven't done much to the interior, just some chairs and a desk really. It’s practical. I don't think you need much more than that to get work done. Siliguri weather can be a bit much sometimes, so I’ve got a fan that rattles a little, but it keeps the air moving. If you’re looking for 10 Najrul Sarani, just look for the sign near the turn. I’m usually around until the evening unless I have to go to the market. It’s a straightforward setup.
