Netai Engineering Works

Netai Engineering Works is located at W-174 in Kamarpara. It’s right by Jagadispur Hat. If you come by on market days, it’s a total mess with all the people and carts, but we like the energy. We are a small engineering shop. We do a lot of welding, fixing broken machinery, and some custom metal work. It’s a dirty job. There is always the smell of burnt metal and grease in the air. We have a few lathes and some old drills that have seen better days but still work perfectly. I started this shop because I liked working with my hands more than sitting in a school. My workers are local guys from the village. They aren't engineers with degrees, but they can fix just about anything you bring them. We don't have a reception area. You just walk into the shed and find us. We don't have a secretary to answer the phone, so if we're working the machines, it might just keep ringing. We just make sure that things we fix stay fixed. It’s not about being the biggest shop in the district. We just want to do right by the people in Jagadispur. The roof leaks a bit when it rains hard, so we have to move the equipment around, but we get by. It is a humble place but it is ours and we work hard through the week.
