M. K. Goyal & Sons

Our place is in Akcherdham Apartment, right there in Jyoti Nagar. If you know Siliguri, you know Sevoke Road is always busy, especially near the 2nd Mile mark. We are situated near St. Michel School, so we hear the school bells and the kids occasionally. M. K. Goyal & Sons has been operating from here for quite a while now. It’s a family name, and we try to keep things straightforward. The office isn’t anything fancy, just a regular spot in the building where we get our work done. Being in Darjeeling district means we get some nice weather sometimes, but mostly it’s just the usual Siliguri heat and humidity. We start early in the morning before the traffic on Sevoke Road gets too bad. You’ll usually find someone in the office sorting through files or talking on the phone. It’s a bit of a climb to get to us, but it’s fine. We like being in this part of town because everything is close by. If we need something, we just walk down the street. It’s a practical setup for us. We aren't trying to be some big corporate firm; we just handle our business day by day. Some of our neighbors in the apartment have been there as long as we have. It feels like a small community even though the road outside is so loud. Anyway, that’s where we are and what it’s like around here.
