You have to head up to the second floor of the Park View Apartment to find me. It is also called Nirmiti, and it is right on Baghajatin Park Road. Being opposite Rabindra Mancha makes it easy for people to give directions when they are coming over. From the windows, you can sometimes see what is going on at the park, which is a nice break from looking at a desk all day. The apartment itself is usually pretty quiet, which I really appreciate. I have set it up so I can work comfortably without too much fuss or noise. It isn't a big commercial building with a lobby or a security guard sitting at a desk. You just come up the stairs and knock on the door. I have been operating as Indrani Guha here for a while now. Most of my visitors are regulars who already know the way and the building. We sit and talk about whatever needs doing over a cup of tea or some water. The space is filled with books and various things I have collected over the years. It is a bit lived-in, but that is how I like it to be. Siliguri can get quite humid, so I usually have the fan going full blast on high speed. I don't follow a very strict corporate schedule. If someone needs to stay a bit later to finish something, we just do it. It is a flexible way of working.
