Himani Welfare Foundation

You can find the Himani Welfare Foundation over at the City Centre in Siliguri. We are up on the 4th floor of the F-Block, specifically in Room 0420. Because it is a large commercial complex, walking from the parking area takes a few minutes. Once you reach the fourth floor, the noise from the shops below finally starts to fade away. Our office setup is purely functional. A few desks, some metal filing cabinets, and a printer that tends to jam are all we really need. As a small team, we have occupied this same room for quite a while now. Most days are spent on welfare projects and the mountain of administration that comes with them. It isn't always the most exciting work, but it is necessary. From our windows, we have a good view of how Siliguri is growing and changing. Since our budget doesn't allow for fancy decorations, the walls stay mostly bare. We stick to a calendar and a few pinned-up notes to keep track of everything. Staying focused on the daily list of tasks is how we spend our time. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing, and other times we are just waiting for a reply. We stay steady and keep things moving from this little office in the block. It isn't a glamorous spot, but it gives us exactly what we need to stay productive.
