Our office is up on the 7th floor of the Niladri Shikhar Building. If you're familiar with Siliguri, you know Hill Cart Road is always packed with people and cars. It’s a bit quieter up here away from the street noise. We spend our days looking at property papers and talking to people who want to buy or sell land around North Bengal. Sometimes we have to drive out to see a plot, which can take forever if the traffic is bad. Siliguri has grown so fast lately, and it’s hard to keep track of every new building going up. We handle a lot of the boring paperwork that comes with real estate. It's not all big deals and handshakes; there is a lot of waiting for documents to come through. Our desk is usually covered in maps and folders. We’ve been in this building for a bit now, and the lift occasionally acts up, but the view of the hills on a clear day is decent. People come in with all sorts of questions about where they should put their money or if a certain area is good for a house. We just tell them what we've seen happening in the market lately. It’s a small team here. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for clients to show up. It’s a steady kind of work, nothing too flashy. Just trying to help people figure out their property stuff in this busy town.
