Bhattacharjee S & Co

Our office, Bhattacharjee S & Co, is tucked away in the National Automobile Building. It is on the first floor, right there on George Mahbert Road. If you are familiar with Bidhan Market in Siliguri, you have probably passed by our building without noticing it. We are right opposite Hotel Embassy, which is a big landmark for anyone coming from out of town. The office is pretty simple. We have a few desks, some chairs for visitors, and a lot of filing cabinets. Accounting and auditing is what we do every day. It is not the most exciting work for everyone, but someone has to do it. We handle a lot of small business accounts from the market nearby. It gets quite busy during the afternoons when the market is in full swing. We do not have a fancy reception desk or anything. Usually, you will just find one of us working on a laptop or talking on the phone about some GST issue. We have been here for a good amount of time, so we know the local business climate pretty well. The building itself is old, but it stays cool enough. We just focus on getting the returns filed on time and making sure the ledgers are correct. It is honest work and we take it seriously, even if the office feels a bit lived-in. Just come up the stairs and you will see our door and a few stacks of paper.
