You can find our foundation at House No 3 in SMC Ward No 3, right on Mother Teresa By Lane in Rajganj, Jalpaiguri. It’s up in the northern part of West Bengal, so the weather can get quite damp during the rainy season. The house is a simple structure that we’ve converted for our use. We have a small sign out front so people don't miss the turn into the by-lane. Inside, the rooms are fairly small, and we’ve filled them with bookshelves and storage boxes. We handle all our local operations from this single address. There’s a small garden area in the back where we sometimes sit during breaks. The 734007 area is mostly residential, so it stays pretty quiet during the day. We don't have a large staff, just a few dedicated people who come in every morning. We use local transport or bikes to get around the ward. The office itself has some old chairs and a desk that wobbles a little if you lean on it too hard. We keep a kettle in the corner for making tea throughout the day. It’s a humble setup, but it’s where all our planning happens. We’ve grown fond of this little house and the way the light comes through the windows in the afternoon. It’s a practical location for us to serve the Rajganj area without any fuss.
