Adimart Welfare Foundation

Adimart Welfare Foundation is up in Darjeeling, specifically in New Pokaijote. We work out of Manju Devi Sah’s place. It’s quite close to the Sani Mandir, which is where most people go to find us. The air is usually a bit cooler up here, and we spend a lot of time with the local community. It isn't a corporate office with glass walls or anything. It’s just a regular building where we’ve set up shop. We deal with the everyday needs of the people in the village and the surrounding hills. Sometimes the roads are difficult to travel, so we stay put and work from the office. We aren't trying to be famous or big. We just want to help out our neighbors. You’ll often find us sitting with tea, talking about local issues or planning our next steps. It’s a very informal environment. If you walk past the temple, you can see our place easily. We have some clutter and lots of files, but we know where everything is. We don't have a big marketing budget, so we just rely on people knowing who we are. Manju Devi is usually around, and she knows everyone in New Pokaijote. It’s a good place to be if you want to understand what’s actually happening in this part of Darjeeling. We just take things one day at a time and do what is necessary for the folks around us.
