Shri Shyam Pharma

We are located on Station Road in Sikar, right near the Mahru Mandir. If you’re familiar with the area, you know how busy it gets around the temple times. You can hear the bells ringing from our front door, and there’s always the smell of incense and street food in the air. The station is also close by, so we get a lot of people passing through who are just getting off a train or waiting for one. It makes for a lot of interesting faces coming in. The shop is narrow but deep, so we have to be smart about how we stack the boxes. We keep the most common things near the front so we don't have to go digging in the back every five minutes. It’s a bit of a dusty area because of all the traffic on Station Road, so we’re constantly wiping down the glass counters. My brother and I usually run the place, and we take turns going out for tea. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and looking up things in the ledger. We don't have a computer system that does everything for us, so we do a lot by hand. It feels more personal that way, even if it takes a little longer. People don't seem to mind the wait too much; they usually just stand by the door and watch the crowds go by on the street. It is what it is, just a small shop on a busy road.
