Shekhawati Art Palace

Our place, Shekhawati Art Palace, is near the Churu Gate in Ramgarh. This is deep in the Shekhawati region, which is famous for its history and art. Our building is close to the gate, so it’s easy to find if you’re traveling through. It’s not a modern office building. It’s a traditional space that fits the area. We have high ceilings and thick walls that keep it cool during the hot summers. Most of our work involves looking at different art pieces and furniture. We spend a lot of time talking to the local artisans who live nearby. The team here is small, just a couple of us who have lived in Ramgarh most of our lives. We don’t do things the way big city companies do. We take our time and we look at things closely. There’s a lot of dust because of the desert nearby, so we are always wiping things down. Shekhawati Art Palace is more about the work than the image. We don't have a fancy website or a big PR person. We just have our shop and our items. People come by because they know we are here near Churu Gate. We keep it simple. Every day is about the pieces we have and the people who come to see them. It’s a quiet but steady way to live and work. We have been here for a long time and plan to stay.
