Shekhar Ice Parlor

Running Shekhar Ice Parlor here in Shivpuri Colony has been our life for quite a while now. We are tucked away near Gayatri Mandir, which makes it easy for folks to find us after they visit the temple or just when they're out for a walk in the evening. It’s a quiet spot mostly, but we like it that way. Most days it’s just us keeping things tidy and making sure the freezers are running right so the ice cream stays cold. People from the colony drop by after dinner, usually families with kids who can’t decide what they want. We don’t have anything fancy, just the regular stuff people like. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble, but that’s just how it is around here. We’ve seen kids grow up coming here, starting with small cones and now they bring their own friends. It gets busy during the summer months when the heat is really hitting hard. We spend a lot of time just chatting with the neighbors who stop in. It isn't a big operation, just a small shop where we try to keep things simple and clean. If you're walking past the mandir, you'll see our sign. We've been at this address for a good bit of time and haven't felt the need to change much. Just a local place doing its thing day in and day out without much fuss. It works for us and seems to work for the people living nearby too. We just keep the doors open and the lights on.
