Pushker Raj Ice Cream

Our shop, Pushker Raj Ice Cream, is right there at the Main Bus Stand Road in Doongla. If you have ever traveled through this part of the country, you know how busy a bus stand can get. There is always the sound of horns and drivers shouting out destinations. We are positioned in a way that people waiting for their buses can see us easily. Many times, travelers come in looking for something cold because the buses can get very hot and dusty. Doongla isn't a huge place, but the bus stand is like the heart of the town where everything happens. We have been here for a while, just serving whatever we have in the coolers. It is a simple setup with a few posters on the walls and the freezers lined up against the side. We don't use fancy menus; people usually just point at what they want. The floor gets dirty pretty fast with people coming in from the dirt road, so we are constantly sweeping it out. During the monsoon, it gets a bit muddy outside, but people still come in to get away from the rain. We just keep our heads down and work through the day, making sure we have enough change for the customers and keeping the ice cream from melting. It is hard work but it keeps us busy. We stay open until the last bus leaves, then we lock up the shutters and head home.
