Neerja Hospital Mother & Child Care Center

Our center is located at E-2 in Basant Vihar, over in Ward 36 near Bajrag Kata. It is specifically set up to help mothers and their kids. The building is a regular house that has been converted into a care center. It doesn't look like those massive glass hospitals in the city center. It feels a bit more like a home, which I think makes the moms feel a bit more relaxed. We have a few rooms for checkups and a small area where kids can sit while they wait. It can get pretty noisy here with babies crying or children running around, but that is just part of the job. We don't have a fancy PR person writing our descriptions. We are just here doing the work. The walls are painted in bright colors to make it look a bit more cheerful for the little ones. Being in Basant Vihar, we see a lot of families from the local neighborhood. We know who is expecting a new baby and who is just in for a checkup. It’s a busy place and sometimes we are running behind schedule, especially on immunization days. We just do our best to take care of everyone who walks in. It’s practical, everyday work. We aren't trying to be anything other than a local spot for mothers and children to get care.
