Our place is over in Nimkathana, specifically in the Kapil Mandi area. It’s mostly an engineering and mechanical shop where we handle various parts and repair jobs. The mandi is always full of life, especially with all the tractors and machinery moving through. We spend most of our day surrounded by metal scraps, oil cans, and the sound of machines running. It gets pretty loud sometimes, so you have to shout a bit to be heard over the lathe or the grinders. We take on whatever work comes through the door, whether it’s a small part that needs fixing or something bigger for a local contractor. The floor is usually covered in some kind of grease, no matter how much we try to sweep it out at the end of the day. We have been in this spot for a while, and people know they can find us here near the market. It’s not a polished office; it’s a working shop where things get dirty and hands get stained. We keep a stock of various engineering items that locals often need so they don’t have to go all the way to the bigger cities. Usually, someone is always dropping by for a chat or to ask about a specific tool. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. The heat in the afternoon can be tough, but we have a couple of fans going to keep the air moving.
