About Choudhary Masala Gruh Udyog – Food & Beverages in Sikar
Choudhary Masala Gruh Udyog is a small operation based in Bohera village, right along Bansi Road. Being a "Gruh Udyog" means we started right out of a home setting, and in many ways, it still feels that way to us. We aren't a factory with hundreds of workers. It’s just a few of us making sure the masala is ground fresh and packed properly. The village of Bohera is quiet, so the sound of our grinding machines is usually the loudest thing on the block. We get the raw spices from the nearby markets, sort them on big mats in the sun, and then get to work. It’s a lot of manual labor, like picking out stones and cleaning the stems off the peppers. We don’t have a big fancy sign, just the work we do every day. People from around Bansi Road stop by because they know they’re getting something made recently, not something that’s been sitting in a warehouse for six months. Our hands are usually stained yellow from the turmeric, but that’s just a sign of the trade. We keep our records in a simple notebook and deal with customers face to face. It’s not a complicated business model. We just provide the basic ingredients people need for their daily cooking. Sometimes we run out of stock faster than we expect, but that's a good problem to have, I suppose. It keeps us moving and makes the days go by quickly.
